Perfect, Complete ACE SAE Large Tap & 1.5 in Adj. Round NC Die Set

These are the Great Factory Stamped/Engraved pieces that can be steel wooled to display them easily unlike the newer Laser etched crap. There are cheaper sets out there for sure but they are not nearly as complete a set with perfect pieces. The set is genuine ACE Engraved Round Adjustable Dies, unchipped and clearly legible.

The Taps are High quality replacement taps. Sizes are SAE 1/4-20 Nationally Course to 3/4-10 Threads.

8 sizes of both tap and dies. The Dies adjust via a radial screw style.

Size must be changed out of the holder. The tools are appropriate to the kit and complete with all screws and threads I tested the function and deburred the factory parts then lubricated them and they function smoothly. The Large Tap holder is of the older Offset, STRONGER and simpler kind. If you have the newer in line style be careful how you use them. I have seen more than a few snap and done one myself.

The V grooves are Sharp Squared and Hardened. You can also use the larger taps by closing onto the larger flat areas making a square hold versus the V Notch Diamond hold. The Knurling is still perfect and it adjusts very smoothly.

The Die Holder is unmarked and disassembles into 3 pieces easily. I can offer an Upgraded GTD No. 1859 for additional cost if you wish. The box is Mahogany and oiled to keep the parts from corroding.

The lid has the list of SAE sizes and the Drill bit size for each thread.
