Watchmakers Tap and Die Set, Vintage

A nice vintage Watchmakers Tap and Die set in good condition. There is no rust, box shows signs of age. These are for small screws and threading, or tapping screw holes. The diameters are indicated on the inside table. The Die holder holds the taps (see photo) very securely and this beats the result of any of the screwplate type dies I've tried.

Taps will have to be held in your own pin-vice, diameter of arbors is about. I've heard'Elgin' taps are that diameter too.

The taps are the three sided type (see photo) which I feel are superior to the two sided type frequently seen in Swiss sets. The items are secured under a glass cover with an elastic, which keeps them in order. There is a recess in the box to lift them out and remove the compartment.

The set is almost complete, missing only one die (#5) and three duplicate taps (for size 7,9, and 14). Sales only to the lower 48 states.
